An invitation to join Shakti Durga at Swamiji's Ashram

Mighty I Am, existing as part of a river of
Eternal Light

This is a pilgrimage and an invitation to come and be in the energy for Guru Poornima held on Thursday 10 July and to spend intimate time with Shakti Durga in these Sacred Mountains.

After a truly wonderful visit with dear friends old and new in the USA, it has been great to be home. The trees have lost their leaves and the evenings require a warm fire in our hearth. Morning meditation and mantra with the cows definitely calls for many layers of clothing right now!

And having landed back home, the call to be in India for Guru Poornima on Thursday 10 July has been irresistible. Hence, I will be leaving Sydney on 7 July, staying in Delhi that night and then catching the morning flight to Dharamsala on 8th to be there in time for the huge day of celebration that happens on the full moon, July 10.

While it is quite short notice, I want to invite those who feel the call to accompany me.  The ashram of our dear Swamiji is not open to the public and people can only be there by invitation. I would not suggest it as a place for people who have a lot of emotional processing to do, as it is pretty strong energy contained in a meditative, quiet and contemplative environment.

The ashram is in a serene remote area surrounded by farms and it’s a 10 minute car journey to Palampur, the nearest large town. You don’t go there for café culture, or for massages and ayurveda, you just go there to be with yourself and the powerful energy that has been generated through the presence of Swamiji and the many devotees who have sought him out over time.

This rare opportunity is an invitation to come and be in the energy of the Eternal Lord Babaji and the bliss of Swamiji as well as having daily sessions with Shakti Durga. We also have the opportunity to attend daily half hour fire yagams at dawn and dusk which are so beautiful.

The pilgrimage program incorporates the blessings and profound shakti of Guru Poornima and so we will be exploring the way in which the Ancient and sacred Guru tradition uplifts and empowers those who are present with devotion. The theme will be around 'The mighty I am, existing as part of a river of Eternal light'.

This is a pilgrimage to the Sacred Mountains. Himichal Pradesh is truly the home of the Gods, the land of snow and ice, ashrams and temples. It will be summer when we are there so bring light Indian clothing with wraps for evening and mornings.  See What to Bring

We will be flying in and out from Kangra airport, quite close to Dharamsala and McLeod Gange, a large Tibetan Buddhist settlement. Some people like to spend a couple of days either before the retreat starts or after it concludes as it has great shopping, many tourist attractions and temples.

Being in the presence of Swamiji was an amazing experience that I recommend to everyone. Pure unconditional love in a spectacular setting - snowed capped mountains that took my breath away..
